Shannon Ratliff
Shannon Ratliff is a strong advocate for locally grown and produced foods and products and believes everyone deserves access to fresh and healthy produce.
She is a member of and an advocate for SunCoast Market Coop and its efforts to open a 100% community-owned grocery store in Imperial Beach that will provide much-needed healthy food options and educational opportunities
Shannon Ratliff was born and raised in the Midwest, transplanted to Colorado for 15 years and then made the ultimate western move to Imperial Beach California with her husband and two children.
Her professional background is in healthy living and health promotion. She has a master’s degree in health psychology, is a certified aromatherapist, and has worked as an educator for Kaiser Permanente for many years.
“I am excited to be on the board of directors for the Chefs de Cuisine Education Foundation because our youth deserve every opportunity to experience preparing and enjoying healthy food. Providing this education is essential to avoiding lifelong. dependence on low nutrient, processed foods, and the unfortunate consequences. It is our responsibility to step up and change the tide.”
