Myrna Cox

Myrna Cox is a “Foodie Enthusiast” with a lifelong passion for cooking. She also has a special “calling” to help those who struggle with health issues, hunger, and homelessness.

She has been a resident of San Diego for twenty-one years and has three sons. Before settling in Southern California, she and her husband lived in Boulder, Colorado and worked in the field of public education.

Her college preparation for an elementary school teacher profession included work at Salem College, Salem, West Virginia and the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado.

Myrna has traveled extensively around the United States and across the globe. That has expanded her knowledge and appreciation for foods of different cultures along with her participation in cooking classes and planning menus for entertaining and dinner parties. She published a cookbook of favorite childhood recipes which she and her grandchildren still use today

A few years ago, Myrna and her husband encountered a homeless man living on the streets in San Diego and a most meaningful experience resulted in their uniting this man with his family again. A book about this venture entitled Harry - Missing For Decades was published in 2016.
