Don Williamson is a retired professional journalist and chef educator with a passion for writing, culinary arts and working with young people.
After a career at newspapers and television stations across the United States, he took early retirement, attended cooking school, and became a certified culinarian.
He worked in the industry as a catering chef and a chef de cuisine for a major hotel chain before spending eight years as an assistant instructor for the Continuing Education Culinary Arts Program of the San Diego Community College District.
As a journalist and as a chef, Don sponsored and worked directly with programs dedicated to bringing young people into those respective fields and to increasing the knowledge base, ethical standards and diversity essential for the betterment of both industries and the communities they serve.
